There's a Buzz: CurdBee Re-developed as Hiveage

CurdBee, the user friendly software that provided a great online billing experience stepped back to allow Hiveage to take its place. Built from the ground up, this reimagined CurdBee is reportedly an automated online billing platform that is expected to overcome the limitations of its predecessor by providing a faster and easier way to invoice clients and track payments.

Hiveage is a secure, cloud-based billing platform that allows them to grow businesses up to 20 percent annually by reducing the costly, time-consuming administrative tasks that are typically associated with billing and invoicing.

Its simple, fast, intuitive interface has been specifically designed with the end user in mind. It allows users to manage multiple businesses from a single account, and allows teams of up to 20 people to be connected via a single account. What’s more, it allows owners complete control over user’s access to information.

While Hiveage has many of CurdBee’s features, it apparently improves on CurdBee in a number of different ways.

CurdBee did have recurring billing, but Hiveage’s auto or subscription billing feature claims to be a shade better. Now SMEs can charge clients periodically without any difficulty. This new feature allows them to store customers’ credit cards securely with the company’s payment processors and bill clients on the fly.

The number of payment gateways have been increased to include BrainTree and PayPal (News - Alert) Pro. This allows freelancers and SMEs more number of options to accept payments. It also allows users to separate taxes, discounts and shipping charges to each of them or just add them directly to the subtotal as well.

With CurdBee, users had access to time and expense tracking features; Hiveage allows users to keep track of mileage also with its mileage tracking feature. “All new users should head over to Hiveage.com if they want to sign up for our online invoicing solution,” said Lankitha Wimalarathna, CEO of Hiveage. “CurdBee was our foundation, but Hiveage is the future we are building on it.

Many former CurdBee customers have made the switch to Hiveage and have been impressed.

“I’ve been using Hiveage’s predecessor Curdbee for years, and Hiveage improves on Curdbee in every way,” says Jesse Couch, creative director and front-end developer at design and development startup Designcouch.

With the (Curd)Bees flying to the ‘Hive’,  there’s a new buzz around online invoicing; however, how positively  it actually impacts small businesses remains to be seen.
