Asbury Automotive Group Selects Perceptive Intelligent Capture

November 02, 2012

Asbury Automotive Group, one of the automotive retailers in the U.S., has selected Perceptive Intelligent Capture, powered by Brainware, for the efficient automation of invoice processing at its Dealership Support Center outside of Atlanta.

The solution, which will be delivered via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) model, was selected by Asbury Automotive Group after extensive evaluation of available automation solutions.

Perceptive was chosen based on a demonstration of the technology’s capabilities for high rates of field data extraction and touchless processing of purchase order-based invoices. While the initial implementation is limited to the capture-enabled automation of accounts payable, opportunities are being explored for applying the technology to other document-based processes.

“A cloud-based delivery makes Perceptive’s document processing and retrieval platform more accessible and easier to implement than ever before,” said Carl Mergele, executive vice president and general manager of Perceptive Capture (formerly Brainware), in a statement.

Mergele said that automation with intelligent data capture offers an immediate productivity boost in AP processing, provides for easy approvals and troubleshooting, and enables users to eliminate manual keying while focusing more resources on strategic, value-added work.

“We are proud to support Asbury Automotive Group as they continue to transform their document processing operations into a model of transparency, accuracy and efficiency,” he said.

Perceptive Software, a Lexmark company, builds enterprise content management and business process management software to help organizations fuel greater operational efficiency.

Recently, Perceptive Software announced that Preferred Health Professionals has selected Perceptive Software’s hosted platform for enterprise content management (ECM), including Perceptive Intelligent Capture, powered by Brainware for the classification and processing of medical claims.

Adoption of Perceptive Capture technology sets PHP apart from competitors who rely upon manual claims data entry.  Data and documents are managed through a streamlined process for more easily ensuring compliance, fostering an immediate increase in claims process productivity.

This value, made possible by Perceptive’s unparalleled data extraction and validation capabilities, makes complex processes less labor-intensive and freeing up employee bandwidth to explore new opportunities.
