Omtool Partners with Samsung Electronics America

February 04, 2014

Omtool, Ltd., a provider of document capture and workflow solutions, recently announced that it has joined hands with Samsung (News - Alert) Electronics America, Inc., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies.

According to the terms of the partnership, the companies will provide combined solutions, including Omtool’s AccuRoute document capture platform and Samsung’s enterprise-ready printers, MFPs, and Android (News - Alert)-powered mobile devices, allowing businesses to streamline their document workflows company-wide. Focusing more on the legal market, the solutions are showcased at LegalTech Conference in New York.

Omtool claims that its AccuRoute, an enterprise-class document capture and workflow platform, delivers flexible, distributed document capture through a highly scalable software infrastructure, extensive features, configuration flexibility, and the simplified operation suitable for simple or sophisticated solutions involving hundreds or millions of documents per month – without time-consuming, expensive implementation cycles. It works with any networked scanner, scan-enabled digital printer, copier, fax, or multi-function peripheral (MFP). It supports paper and electronic documents.

Recently, Omtool unveiled AccuRoute Mobile and new product enhancements to its document capture and workflow platform. AccuRoute Mobile enables field-based or traveling employees to extend the AccuRoute document capture infrastructure beyond the walls of the typical office environment and deliver it to wherever they are.

“Omtool has been committed to providing the widest breadth of innovative products for our client base while offering them software solutions that are available for the systems and devices they desire. The Samsung partnership will enable us to deliver Omtool-based solutions on Samsung scan devices as well as tablets with AccuRoute Mobile for Android devices,” said Bob Voelk, Chairman, CEO, and President, Omtool.

“Omtool’s AccuRoute integration with Samsung will allow us to present firms of all sizes with a unique, customized user-experience, while extending the benefits of AccuRoute’s advanced document capture and workflow capabilities directly from the main control panel of the Samsung network-enabled device. This not only helps our customers make their day-to-day processes more seamless, but it also makes their investment in their hardware more valuable,” said Peter Richardson (News - Alert), Director, Printer Marketing at Samsung’s Enterprise Business Division.
